12 february 2020 Connecting Innovation to SustainabilityIntroduction
The forthcoming PDMA seminar due to be held in Eindhoven in February 2020 offers the opportunity to introduce the novel view of PDMA Europe, Connecting Innovation to Sustainability. This Seminar will be organised in partnership with Philips, one of worlds leading health care companies. Circular economy is central to their vision of making the world healthier and more sustainable through innovation. Philips is actively driving the transition to a circular economy by adopting innovative business models and maximizing the lifetime value of our products and solutions. Therefore, sustainable development is an integral part of their company strategy.
Sustainable development is about innovating while making the world a better place. At PDMA, we have listened to our Innovator peers and come to understand that this topic is getting increasingly more attention on the business leadership agenda for multiple reasons, i.e.:
• the impact of our growing population on the ecological footprint of our planet,
• the current climate crisis and the presumed inability of our global political leaders to lead the change,
• the role of corporations to step forward and create meaningful solutions that help to drive circularity and more environmental products and services.
Connecting Innovation to Sustainability
It is exactly that role of the business that we want to address in this PDMA seminar to make the connection between sustainability change leadership and Innovation. Equally important is the connection with the next generation innovation professionals. As PDMA Netherlands we want to take a stand, and nail our colours to the mast. In 2020, we want to build upon our hard work undertaken over the last two years together with European partners, and to act as catalysts in Europe and beyond. Philips Innovation Services, and PDMA Netherlands will host this seminar.
This gathering will be interesting for innovators, sustainability practitioners, business leaders who want to understand the impact of good sustainable practices on the innovation process and product development.
The program will include a number of thought leadership in Sustainability and Innovation from a business and academic perspective. Moreover you will experience how Philips is driving the Sustainability agenda through a tour in their Experience Lab. The PDMA session is therefore organized at Philips at their High Tech Campus, Eindhoven. Click here
